If you're intimidated by the idea of taking a yoga class, worry no more. Try this gentle style of yoga that is performed mostly from a seated position in a chair. The modifications that chair yoga provides makes yoga accessible to people who cannot stand for long periods of time or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions.
While seated on chairs, students can do versions of twists, hip stretches, forward bends, and mild backbends. As well as using the chair for balance in standing poses and balancing poses.

In addition to a good stretch, chair yoga participants can also enjoy many health benefits of yoga, including improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, reduction of stress, better sleep, and a sense of well-being.
