A workshop for yoga teachers, mental health professionals, school teachers, or anyone wanting to learn tools for regulating the nervous system.

This 6 hr. workshop provides an overview of trauma across the lifespan. We will discuss its impact and explain what it takes to be trauma-informed, offering helpful tools and exploring proven models of trauma-informed care including tools from the growing field of trauma research, yoga, and mindfulness to better manage symptoms of trauma and chronic stress.
A trauma informed movement practice focuses on feeling safe and at home in our bodies to promote greater self regulation and resiliency.

- ACE’s (Adverse Childhood Experiences Study,)and how they affect health through the lifespan
- Yoga postures, somatic movement and breathing techniques to support self regulation
- Trauma-informed queuing and sequencing
- Practice teaching
- Self-care practices to avoid burnout and compassion fatigue
